Hi Matthew, the purpose of a fast is to show God you are willing to sacrifice something of value to you and contribute it to those in need. If you are unable to skip foods due to blood pressure issues (and there are many just like you), then you just work out your own arrangement with the Lord and make a contribution of what you are able to. Fasting is a totally personal matter so nobody is checking on you. It just brings blessings.
